The Building Industry Association’s y|GEN Council empowers the next generation of housing professionals through networking, education, leadership opportunities, mentorship and community involvement. Our mission is to help emerging leaders build meaningful relationships, stay informed on industry issues, and develop the skills needed to shape the future of housing in San Diego.

Make a One-on-One Connection
The y|GEN Mentor Program pairs emerging leaders with seasoned industry professionals to provide guidance, career advice, leadership development, and meaningful industry connections.
Program Benefits:
Student Membership
You MUST be a currently enrolled student in San Diego County who is not working currently for a BIA San Diego member company in order to receive a student membership.
Due to the limited amount of Student Memberships available for the year, after the first 7 students have signed up any other student looking to apply for our y|GEN program will have to pay the standard membership fee of $200.
